Redarc, an Australian RV electrical specialist, has 40 years of experience in outfitting off-grid power stations for onshore drilling platforms and off-road vehicles. Redarc is entering the US market with its latest model, a Toyota Tacoma with more electronics.

When you are camping in the wild, you will never get enough electricity. With decades of experience in custom installation and management of Hilux off-road vehicle fleets, Redarc chose the right vehicle to capture the hearts of American off-road enthusiasts: the 2021 Toyota Tacoma TRD Off-Road.

The TRD Off-Road Tacoma is somewhere between the TRD Sport and Limited versions, while still having all the details expected from a land-ready rig. It has a textured black fender, a lockable rear differential and high-quality Bilstein shock absorbers.

Redarc went one step further by installing a custom Mits Alloy flat tray canopy to accommodate its proprietary Redarc Manager30 battery management system (BMS), equipped with dual 120 Ah lithium batteries. It is true that flat pallet canopies are not popular among the American land population (because the method involves the removal of stock truck beds), but it is very popular in Australia. The system has color displays on each side of the canopy to display and monitor battery charging settings, accessory control, and other basic data.

Redarc's innovative off-grid power station has enough power to power the slide-out ARB zero refrigerator, ARB air compressor and several 110V AC power outlets through a 2,000 watt pure sine wave inverter. The system even allows the car battery to be quickly activated in an emergency. Under the hood, you will also find a Redarc Full Throttle AGM battery that powers the rigid off-road lights and area lighting on the front grille and canopy.

The system includes an on-board battery charger that can continuously charge the auxiliary battery. When the engine is running, it gets electricity from the alternator, but it can also sip juice through the solar panels. The kit also includes a beautiful dual battery fuel gauge in the dashboard to help the driver keep track of the battery status.

1.5-inch Icon lift kit, Falken Wildpeak AT3 off-road tires, custom front bumper with standard WARN VR 10-S winch, Front Runner roof rack with rigid LED lights, and 30-inch rigid light bar. Redarc's customized Toyota Tacoma will be officially unveiled in the United States at the Overland Expo Mountain West auto show in Colorado later this month. It will also appear at the SEMA show in Las Vegas in November this year.
